Nigeria moved a massive 12 place up and are now ranked 33rd in the world following her winning of the bronze medal at the just concluded 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Super Eagles lost 2-1 to eventual champions Algeria in the semifinal of the AFCON but went on to defeat Tunisia to win the third-place match 1-0.
Nigeria, however, remain third in Africa behind the silver medal winner, Senegal who currently rank 20th, while Tunisia is ranked 29th.
The recent ranking saw the AFCON reigning champions, Algeria, sky-rocket to 40th position from 68th position making a-28-step move to the fourth in Africa while Morocco ranks 41st.
